To make money, one has to know money, so what better business to be in than one that offers solutions that cover everything from conveyancing to debt management and review, deceased estates, insolvency, administration orders and bridging finance?Having developed his analytical, project management, management and problem-solving skills working as a software consultant at SAB and an analytical chemist at a pharmaceutical laboratory, Lance Joseph decided to put his specialised skills into practice at e4 Strategic, an company launched by two attorneys who wanted to automate the conveyancing and debt collection practices in SA.Lance says that e4 offers bespoke development solutions, document automation, workflow solutions, data solutions, electronic signatures and MIS, all supported by an online training academy. Its primary customers are financial service providers – both banks and retailers. The company is also linked to over 2000 firms of attorneys, more than 1500 administrators and over 400 debt counsellors and municipalities.He suggests that what is great about the company is the fact that it has a culture of delivering quality products, placing the customer first and keeping true to the vision of innovating in places which are unique. In many instances, he adds, e4 is seen as thought leaders in the industries it operates in.As for the future, Lance says he wants to build a business which has sustainable growth and profit, based on products which are fully exportable to other countries. Already, e4 has such a product available for export to the rest of the world, but which will still be managed and maintained in South Africa, all that remains is to take it to the global market.
