“Consider yourself part of the furniture”, was what the Artful Dodger told Oliver Twist in the musical of the same name, and Gary Da Silva of IYC Office Interiors has certainly take that statement to heart. His business – built from nothing, to provide a legacy for his children - supplies furniture into offices, hotels and restaurants, to name a few. He says that there is a growing demand for high value furniture that is both economical and environmentally friendly. While clients want slick and unique items of furniture that define their office, restaurant or commercial venture, they also seek suppliers that adopt environmentally-friendly attitudes. For this reason, we also focus on recycling initiatives and staying carbon neutral. IYC Office Interiors differentiates itself by also providing an easy to use system of space planning, interior design, shop fitting, project management and installation of the furniture. Gary says its approach to market is one of laser intensity – it is, he says, we about always showing up and delivering, and do not leaving until the customer is satisfied. This is because customer service and speed of delivery are the company’s watchwords. He adds that the business is currently honing and implementing a three-to five-year strategy, which will be an extension or enhancement of the current strategy, which anticipates substantial growth in the short-term and very aggressive growth in the medium term. Gary aims to double the business turnover in this period, which will then serve as the necessary aggregation point for IYC to establish itself as a global supplier of commercial furniture. He ultimately wants the company to be seen as a single point of contact for a client’s entire commercial furniture requirements.
